Our incorporated organization communicates with each of the churches within our Mission District informing them of our scheduled Women’s Retreats & Gatherings and providing updates on Women of the NALC. All of Mission District women are included in our ministry of enhancing fellowship, sharing of ideas, and missions among our women.
We hold two annual General Meetings and Women Retreats. We support two missions with 70% of our offerings-Embracing Hope Ethiopia (Intl.) and Nile Lutheran Church (Domestic)., 10% goes to WNALC, and 20% supports our events and other costs.
Our Executive Committee consists of four executive officers and four board members who are elected to a three-year term and are limited to two consecutive terms, except the treasurer who is not limited to terms served.

Are you up for trying something new? An opportunity to meet new people from across our Mission District while working with a great core group of women and connecting with our Sisters in Christ of the WNALC to share God’s love!
Each year we seek women willing to answer God’s call to serve on our governing board, the Executive Committee. Our Executive Committee consists of four executive officers and four board members who are elected to a three year term and are limited to two consecutive terms, except the treasurer who is not limited to terms served. Pastor Joyce Dix-Weirs serves as Clergy Representative. Won’t you prayerfully consider putting your name on the ballot to run in the election? The election is held during our Fall Gathering. The only requirement is for you to belong to a congregation that is a member of the NALC.
We have a current need to fill four upcoming vacancies and will be voting at the Fall Gathering. Please complete a nomination form to be considered. We are praying for you to hear the call.
I know that the big question in your mind is, “what do I have to do? What are my responsibilities?” We hold four board meetings (none during the summer months), schedule and assist with the Spring and Fall gatherings, conduct a Women’s Retreat and support the other Women’s groups in our Mission District as needed.
